Bio:
My career has blended technology with photojournalism since the early days of digital scanners, Photoshop, and digital cameras.
I was lucky enough to be in on the ground floor of photo technology solutions that have changed our world, and changed the way we cover the news.
As time has gone by, my true love of the still image has pushed be back to my roots of photojournalism. While I am still close to the technology, it's only a tool to aid in the visual storytelling.
My work with the AP has taken me to cover many places and events to witness history, Super Bowls, Triple Crown attempts, Oscars, election coverage and inaugurations. Yet I would gladly trade any of those assignments for this workshop.
The Eddie Adams Workshop has become my yearly "tune-up." The passion of the student photographers, the experience and perspective of the faculty, along with the exhilarating environment created by the black team come together to create a "perfect storm" of ideas and knowledge exchange that helps to focus and direct me in this challenging profession.
