Bio:
I am a freelance sports photographer based in the San Francisco Bay Area. I regularly shoot assignments for Sports Illustrated and Major League Baseball Photos.
I was lucky enough to attend Eddie Adams Workshop II in 1989 with my good friend Grover Sanschagrin. Unfortnately the two of us never met until 2001.
Over the years my work experience has covered a wide variety of employers ranging from the Contra Costa Times where I started my career to The National Sports Daily where I had the chance to work for legendary Sports Illustrated photographer Neil Leifer. After The National folded I began my freelance business by stringing for the Associated Press and shooting trading cards for The Upper Deck Company.
Since then I have photographed everything from the 1996 Summer Olympic Games in Atlanta to the World Series in Boston. In between I have also covered various Super Bowls, All Star games and playoff games all over the United States.
My current work for Sports Illustrated and Major League Baseball Photos keeps me busy from the first pitch of Spring Training to the final out of the World Series.
While not shooting I enjoy attending San Francisco Giants games in my season ticket box seats and working on SportsShooter.com, the online resource for sports photography, of which I am a founding owner.
